The Most Dangerous Highway

Rich Campbell recently posted an opinion column about the dangers of driving on US1 in Florida, determined by one study to be the most dangerous highway in America.

Please see Rich’s article by visiting the link below.

Rich noted 4 common factors of crashes on US1:
-Left turns
-Red light runners
-Unexpected encounters*
-Speeders

The information in this article will help you to remain vigilant and alert to the dangers of driving on US1, or any road for that matter.

Remember, many accidents can be avoided by using defensive driving techniques.

If you are involved in a car or truck crash, call the Law Offices of Crary Buchanan.

We have helped thousands of car and truck accident victims on the Treasure Coast recover their medical bills, lost wages and other damages.

*Under “Unexpected Encounters”, I would add the car or truck in front of you suddenly switches lanes revealing a stopped or slow moving vehicle directly in your path.

Unless there is enough distance between you and the car or truck that switched lanes, you risk hitting the stopped or slow moving vehicle. To avoid this possibility, ALWAYS keep a safe distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you.

This way, no matter what happens ahead, you can stop in time to avoid a collision.
