Jennifer L. Williamson Attends the NRA Foundation’s National Firearms Law Seminar

/ / Law Blog

For sixteen years, the NRA Foundation has provided a unique opportunity for attorneys to assemble and discuss legal issues related to firearms. The seminar is designed to help lawyers who represent firearm-related businesses and firearms owners. At the seminar, Attorney Williamson and her legal peers had the opportunity to learn about changes in firearms laws, federal restrictions, state firearms laws, and pending Second Amendment cases. The NRA Foundation held the seminar on May 3rd, 2013.

Attorney Williamson attended the seminar with Preethi Sekharan, a Stuart attorney practicing in the areas of commercial and contract litigation, probate litigation, and intellectual property and trade secret disputes. Together, Attorneys Williamson and Sekharan serve on the Executive Committee of the Martin County Friends of NRA. The Martin County Friends of NRA Annual Banquet will be held on October 10, 2013, at the St. Mary’s Pittenger Center in Stuart. At the seminar, Attorneys Williamson and Sekharan met and spoke with Stephen P. Halbrook, Esq., a respected Second Amendment scholar and expert.

In the same weekend, Attorney Williamson attended the 2013 NRA Meetings & Exhibits in Houston at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The convention has met for 142 years. This year, the convention featured 400,000 square feet of displays and more than 550 exhibitors. The 2013 NRA Meetings & Exhibits featured celebrity appearances by Justin Martin and John Godwin (Duck Dynasty), product displays from every major firearm company in the U.S., gun collection exhibits, and educational seminars.
