United Way of Martin County’s CHARACTER COUNTS! the program, in partnership with Martin Health System and the Business Development Board of Martin County, recently honored Crary Buchanan, Attorneys at Law, with the fifth annual Business of Character Award.

The goal of the Business of Character Award is to raise awareness of the importance of core ethical business practices and recognize local businesses that encourage and reward mutual respect, responsibility, and trustworthiness.

On hand to accept the award was Larry E. Crary, Crary Buchanan senior member. Crary Buchanan demonstrates a commitment to good character and works ethics by encouraging employees to pursue professional development and community involvement opportunities.

“In a community like Martin County with so many generous businesses and individuals who help those in need, we at Crary Buchanan Law Offices are honored and humbled to receive this award,” Crary said. “The hallmark of a successful, caring community, like Martin County, is how we help our neighbors most in need.”

Also recognized at the luncheon for their commitment to serving Martin County with character were finalists Stuart Stamp & Engraving and Bank of America. Other businesses nominated for the award include 561 Skateboarding; Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast; Chili’s; Hibiscus Children’s Center; Martin County — Witham Field; Ooo La La Catering; Proctor, Crook, Crowder & Fogal; Ross, Earle, Bonan & Ensor; Salvation Army of Martin County; Samaritan Center for Young Boys and Families; Sign Store & More; Terra Fermata; and Treasure Coast Urgent and Family Care.
