CAR AND TRUCK SOCIAL DISTANCING

Transcript

As the state of Florida continues its gradual re-opening, you may have already noticed more "Company" on treasure coast roads and highways. That's why the team at Crary Buchanan has a suggestion for staying safe: call it: "Car and truck social distancing" Did you ever notice how drivers sort of "Clump together" when they are on the highway. There are actually some reasons for this behavior: The most obvious, and possibly the most frustrating is misuse of the passing lane. We've all been there, behind that driver who is in the far left lane doing just *under* the speed limit??? There is also a theory that if you travel in a "Pack" ,you are less likely to get a speeding ticket. Afterall the officer or trooper can't pull over every driver at once! There also appears to be some psychology behind the phenomenon. It's actually easier to "Follow the leader", and let their actions, whether it's speeding up, slowing down, or changing lanes, dictate ours. It's obvious that avoiding the pack mentality on the road is the safer option. So what to you do?. Crary buchanan says: when you see that clump of cars up ahead, slow down, or consider getting off the road until the group passes. Of course you can do everything possible to stay safe, and still be injured by another drivers' carelessness. If *that Happens call Crary Buchanan or visit crarybuchanan.com.
