Attorney Donna DeMarchi Attends United for Families’ Fundraiser

Donna E. DeMarchi, a Stuart personal injury attorney at Crary Buchanan, was recently featured in Stuart Magazine ‘s summer 2013 Issue for her charitable efforts with a recent fundraising event. The United for Families’ “Le Bal Masque,” is the organization’s signature fundraising event and was held at the Mariner Sands Country Club. This year, more than 150 guests were in attendance for a night of fun amid the mystical Black Forest of Germany. The event raised nearly $57,000 for the non-profit organization as they continue their Road to Success program. Attorney DeMarchi served on the event’s planning committee.

First created in 2002, United for Families is an organization that was formed with assistance from a number of local and statewide agencies, including the Children’s Home Society of Florida, Family Preservations Services of Florida, Exchange Club Castle, and New Horizons of the Treasure Cost. United for Families serves as a community-based care agency for the Department of Children and Families and provides foster care and related services throughout Florida. The organization is responsible for providing a range of services to abused or neglected children in Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, and St. Lucie Counties.

The Road to Success program is designed to prepare young adults for life outside of the foster care system. Funds raised during the “Le Bal Masque” event will be used to support a number of services, including courses that cover independent living skills, financial planning and budgeting, and others. The Road to Success program has been pivotal in helping teens within the local foster care system graduate high school, attend college, and lead productive and responsible lives.

Attorney DeMarchi is a longtime advocate for community involvement – as is our entire firm. In addition to supporting United for Families, Attorney DeMarchi also works with numerous community organizations throughout the region. Among her many endeavors, she is the President of the Junior League of Martin County, a supporter of Exchange Club CASTLE, and is a recipient of the Kathryn A. Basile Community Service Award.
