Linda L. Weiksnar, a Board Certified Trial Lawyer, practices in the areas of family law, personal injury and general litigation. She honed her litigation skills at a nationally known law firm, where she earned several million dollar verdicts and settlements in litigation matters.
Linda graduated cum laude from Duke University, where she earned her A.B. in Political Science. Linda also studied foreign languages, concentrating on Spanish. While at Duke, Linda received the Presidential Leadership Award for services rendered to the University and community, and the MacAnderson Scholarship for Study Abroad.
She then obtained a joint degree from Georgetown University Law Center: a Juris Doctor and Master of Science in Foreign Service. At Georgetown, Linda served twice as President of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Linda first practiced in Washington, D.C.; her first hearing was before Judge Gerhart Geselle, who presided over the Oliver North trial.
Linda has lived in Martin County since 1994, having grown up in New Jersey and then spending time in North Carolina and Washington D.C. Currently, she is a founding member of the Hobe Sound Port Salerno Rotary Club, and supports both the Girl Scouts and the Boy Scouts. Her interests include history, singing, languages and storytelling.
She appeared on-stage at the Lyric Theater in 2004 as a back-up singer for David Sanborn. Linda has run with the Olympic Torch as it criss-crossed the United States in the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Torch Relay. Both of these events were on Linda's List of Things to Do in Life.
