Biography: James L.S. Bowdish is a senior member of the firm. Jim practices primarily in general civil litigation in federal and Florida courts, including contract litigation, employment litigation, trust and probate litigation, real property and title insurance litigation, mortgage foreclosure and creditor's litigation, construction and mechanics lien litigation, hospital law litigation (including extensive experience in medical staff privileges matters), personal injury litigation (both defense and plaintiff), insurance defense litigation, and professional liability litigation involving accountants and engineers. He also has handled numerous appeals primarily to the Fourth District Court of Appeal. He is experienced and active in various alternate dispute resolution work including work as a Certified Circuit Court Mediator and Arbitrator and serves also as a neutral arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association.
Jim earned his B.A., Cum Laude, in 1966 from Wake Forest University. He was awarded a J.D., Cum Laude, in 1969 from Stetson University College of Law.
Jim is board certified by the Florida Bar in the area of Civil Trial Law and is "AV" rated by Martindale Hubbell.

Hood, Texas; honorable discharge (1973).
