A Miami-Dade judge deemed The Florida Workers’ Compensation Act unconstitutional because it doesn’t provide suitable benefits for injured workers. In 2012, a Miami-Dade County employee tripped over boxes left on the floor. The injury resulted in shoulder replacement surgery, and the woman eventually retired because of chronic pain associated with her accident.

On Monday February 3, federal officials from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) announced plans to move forward with requiring automobile manufacturers to equip vehicles with new technology for car-to-car communications. The Junior League of Martin County hosted the 5th Annual Rudolph’s Reindeer Dash 5k this past Saturday, December 7, 2013. The Junior League of Martin County is an organization committed to supporting women and the development of local communities through effective action and volunteer work. Proceeds from the Reindeer Dash 5k will be used to help develop the Junior League’s programs focused on at-risk teens and women and children.

Charter with a drawing of the historic Okeechobee Courthouse. The team is going to the Pop Warner Super Bowl to represent the SE Region. They are playing to become National Champions.
Crary Buchanan’s very own Donna DeMarchi – a Stuart attorney with our firm’s personal injury and wrongful death legal team – is helping organize a fundraiser for Project LIFT. Project LIFT is a local nonprofit that works exclusively with at risk teenage boys – many of whom have been through the juvenile justice system and / or have substance abuse issues. They teach these young men vocational skills and provide counseling in a very positive environment. They are relatively “new” and are already doing amazing things.
