Primary care physicians are the backbone of our health care system, taking care of the entire family through illnesses and injuries throughout their lives. They are often unsung heroes, doing their work quietly at all hours of the day, night and weekend.
Elysse Elder, an attorney with Crary Buchanan, helped the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast raise $215,000 at the non-profit’s Paws & Claws Gala.
The annual event was held March 2011 at the Pirateís Cove Resort & Marina in Stuart.

Filmmaker Rob James met the audience at the Sunrise Theatre in Fort Pierce before the exclusive screening.
Law firm partners Scott Turnbull and Jennifer Williams were lead supporters of the “Aim to Protect” sporting clays fundraiser for Treasured Lands Foundation. The second annual event was held in March 2011 on the shooting course at Quail Creek Plantation in Okeechobee. Turnbull and Williamson served on the organizing committee and Crary Buchanan was a sponsor, along with Steve Swann of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.

The children of Crary Buchanan’s lawyers and staff have been hard at work in December, joining an annual tradition at the law firm. The kids filled hundreds of candy jars and helped distribute them across the Treasure Coast and mail them to law firm clients across the country. The sweet treats are to be enjoyed with the start of 2011.
Firm partner Scott Turnbull supported the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Okeechobee at its annual Clay Shoot at Quail Creek Plantation in Okeechobee.
“It was a privilege and a pleasure to participate,” said Turnbull, who practices business, securities and trust litigation. “I had a wonderful time for a wonderful cause.”
Susan Reskow was one of the heroes who helped set a Martin County record for blood donations on 9-11. She was also lucky; her name was drawn from among hundreds for a giant, flat-screen TV that The Experts donated to the drive. Held at the Stuart law office of Crary Buchanan, the community effort collected enough units to save 911 lives.

The Crary Buchanan blood drive to “Save 911 lives on 9/11″ set a record for blood collections in Martin County. The effort, sponsored by the law firm, Seacoast National Bank, Martin Memorial Foundation and Florida’s Blood Centers, attracted hundreds of people to the Crary Buchanan office on Sept. 10 and Sept. 11. The weekend-long drive, which concluded Sunday at local churches, also attracted coverage from TV stations WPTV and WPBF. Also coming to the scene were fire-rescue staff from Stuart and Seacoast president Denny Hudson, who appears in one photo with firm partners Rick and Mike Crary.
