Mediation and
arbitration involve the use of an independent third party, other than the
court, to resolve disputes. Mediation is often required by the court
before trial. Resolution of disputes by mediation or arbitration is
generally faster and less costly than proceeding to trial.
The firm's
litigation attorneys have significant experience representing clients in
matters which involve mediation and arbitration. In addition, two of
our attorneys have been certified by the Florida Supreme Court as qualified
to serve as mediators in circuit court civil matters (Jim Bowdish and Rick Crary). Additionally Rick Crary also has been certified to serve as a mediator in family law, and Jim Bowdish serves as a certified Arbitrator and as a memeber of the American Arbitration Association Panel of Neutrals.
