Biography:
Scott Turnbull has a broad-based practice representing clients in business, investment, probate and trust disputes. He also has experience in real estate litigation and adversary proceedings in bankruptcy. Scott leads the firm’s
Securities Litigation practice and represents clients in Florida, Michigan and Illinois. Prior to joining Crary Buchanan, Scott was a partner with an international law firm based in Detroit, Michigan and a federal law clerk for two years for Lawrence P. Zatkoff, the former Chief Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan. Scott was the Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review at the University of Detroit School of Law and has a Masters in Business Administration from Grand Valley State University. Scott's experience includes jury and bench trials and over 35 arbitration hearings representing business entities and investors. He manages all aspects of the case from drafting complaints and answers, written discovery, depositions, and motion practice with extensive experience in the federal and state courts. Scott provides a thorough explanation of the legal issues, process, and options presented in litigation. “I help clients manage complex cases and develop a litigation strategy that is best suited to their needs.” Scott has mediated cases throughout the United States and is known for effectively negotiating in all of his practice areas. While he has extensive trial experience, he seeks to maximize the client’s value of legal services through various alternative dispute resolution methods.
